Many Monster Jam fans might tell you they grew up loving the sport, but Colt Stephens really means it. At just two weeks old, a newborn Stephens went to his first show with his dad who founded the King Krunch Monster Jam truck.
“My favorite memories are of the days when my dad had King Krunch and I was able to travel the country with him in the big rig,” Stephens said.
Nearly a quarter of a century later, Stephens joined Feld Entertainment’s Monster Jam to start competing.
Stephens, along with other athletes, will compete at Snapdragon Stadium this weekend and next weekend as drivers compete for the Stadium Championship Series East title and a coveted spot in the Monster Jam World Finals.
“My favorite part about competing in Monster Jam is the feeling you get when you’re in front of a packed stadium cheering,” said Stephens, who will be driving ThunderROARus this weekend. “ Just knowing that I am about to send a 10,000 pound Monster Jam truck soaring through the air is an amazing feeling.”
