LEMON GROVE, Calif. (FOX 5/KUSI) — Two individuals have been arrested and charged in connection with a shooting that happened in Lemon Grove last September, authorities said Wednesday.
On Sept. 18, 2024, around 10:55 p.m., deputies with the San Diego County Sheriff’s Office responded to reports of gunfire in the 2200 block of Dain Court.
When they arrived to the scene, deputies found a 23-year-old man, Lemon Grove resident Darron Willie Singleton Jr., lying in the street with gunshot wounds to his torso.

Despite lifesaving measures, Singleton Jr. died from his injuries, authorities said.
Preliminary results from the Medical Examiner’s Office determined his death was due to multiple gunshot wounds, and the case was ruled as a homicide.
After a months-long investigation, two people were arrested Tuesday, Jan. 7 in connection with the shooting, SDSO said.
Richard Charles Lee, 47, was arrested in the 3100 block of Macaulay Street in San Diego. Meanwhile, Reality Grayson, 44, of Temecula was arrested in the 3900 block of Knollridge Drive in Temecula.
