Macy’s stores in Los Angeles, Chula Vista, and Newark are among the 150 “underproductive” stores the retailer plans to close by 2026 .
The company identified 66 stores it was closing in nearly two dozen states in a news release on Thursday. The closures are part of the retailer’s plan to “return the company to sustainable, profitable sales growth” as it invests in 350 “go-forward” locations, Macy’s said.
