SAN DIEGO, Calif. (FOX 5/KUSI) — A female Vespa rider died Sunday following a collision in the San Pasqual Valley, according to the San Diego Police Department.
The woman, 49, was riding her 2020 Vespa Piaggio westbound near 16100 San Pasqual Valley Rd. around 5:30 p.m. when she failed to negotiate a right bend in the road, SDPD stated in a news release Monday.

The Vespa continued straight and crossed over the eastbound lane before it went off the road, authorities said. The rider was ejected from the vehicle and sustained major head trauma from the incident.
