SAN DIEGO (FOX 5/KUSI) — A man was hit and killed by a vehicle while running across Interstate 5 early Sunday morning, California Highway Patrol reports.
The collision happened at 1:41 a.m. Sunday on northbound Interstate 5, just south of Old Town Avenue, in San Diego.

California Highway Patrol (CHP) says a man was reportedly running across the traffic lanes of I-5 when he was hit by a Nissan Pathfinder. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Authorities have not released the identity of the man, pending family notification.
