California Winter Weather Alert: Up to 11 Inches of Snow, 50 MPH Winds Expected Until Friday

Los Angeles, CA – A winter storm is set to bring snow and high winds to Southern California’s mountain regions starting Wednesday night, potentially impacting travel along major routes, including Interstate 5.

According to the National Weather Service, a Winter Weather Advisory is in effect from 7 p.m. Wednesday to 7 a.m. Friday, covering the Interstate 5 Corridor, San Gabriel Mountains, and Ventura and Santa Barbara County Mountains. Snowfall totals could reach up to 11 inches in higher elevations, with winds gusting as high as 50 mph. Areas above 6,000 feet could see 3 to 6 inches of snow, while lower elevations between 4,000 and 6,000 feet may receive a dusting to 3 inches.
