California’s first steel mill in 50 years breaks ground in Kern County

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KBAK/KBFX)— Pacific Steel Group has broken ground on the Mojave Micro Mill, marking the first steel mill to be built in California in the last 50 years.

Spanning 174 acres, the mill is set to bring significant resources and jobs to the desert community.
