San Diego man avoids prison in DUI crash that killed woman found in tow yard

SAN DIEGO — A 25-year-old San Diego man convicted of driving drunk and colliding with a van in Clairemont, killing a woman inside, will not be going to prison.

The victim’s body was discovered a month later, still inside the vehicle at a tow yard lot, as first reported by CBS 8.

Jordan Lopez pleaded guilty to DUI causing injury in a plea deal that allowed him to avoid prison time. He was sentenced to one year in work furlough and five years probation for the 2023 crash that killed 65-year-old Monica Cameroni de Adams…
