DEA ramps up efforts to combat cartels, stop fentanyl flow into San Diego

SAN DIEGO — The DEA is ramping up efforts to combat cartels and stop the deadly flow of fentanyl into San Diego.

“We are actively identifying those drug trafficking networks from here, to Los Angeles and all over the United States,” Brian Clark, a DEA special agent, said.

The White House designated eight Latin American cartels as foreign terrorist organizations, which means they’re considered a national security threat and more can be done to stop them…
