Meth, guns, and cockfighting—Disturbing discovery in California border patrol raid

Lakeside, CA – A weekend operation by U.S. Border Patrol agents led to a significant drug and weapons bust at a property in Lakeside, resulting in the seizure of over 5 pounds of fentanyl, more than 148 pounds of methamphetamine, a rifle, and 39 fighting roosters. Authorities also arrested three individuals in connection with the case.

According to the San Diego County Sheriff’s Office, the suspects face multiple charges, including transporting and selling controlled substances, possession of controlled substances for sale, and conspiracy to commit a crime. The sheriff’s office confirmed that the seized narcotics and weapons have been taken into their custody as part of the ongoing investigation.

The presence of fentanyl, a synthetic opioid known to be 100 times more powerful than morphine and 50 times more potent than heroin, highlights the dangers posed by the illegal drug trade.
