SAN DIEGO (FOX 5/KUSI) — Two people were killed after a car traveling on eastbound State Route 94 through San Diego went airborne, struck a sign and landed on its roof.
The car, a Dodge Challenger, was head east on SR-94 to the northbound transition of Interstate 15 just before 12:30 a.m. Saturday, according to California Highway Patrol.

For reasons still under investigation, the vehicle veered off the roadway of the transition ramp, soared into the air and struck an overhead sign.
