SAN DIEGO (FOX 5/KUSI) — A San Diego-area woman is competing for love on one of the most successful dating shows in the world, “Farmer Wants a Wife.” The show, which airs in 34 countries, has resulted in 226 marriages and 565 children to date.
According to the show’s description on FOX, the reality TV series follows four farmers who are looking to find a romantic relationship. The farmers narrow down five potential partners and then invite them home, where they stay alongside the other women selected.
Throughout the series, the women participate in farm work and take turns dating their match, all while getting a feel for life outside of the city. At the end of the series, the farmers choose their best matched partner.
