SAN DIEGO — A groundbreaking electric truck charging station, capable of powering up to 70 medium to heavy-duty electric vehicles, may soon call National City its home. The proposed zero-emissions truck stop would be located on a 5-acre lot owned by the Port of San Diego at 19th and Tidelands Avenue.
“This is really the cutting edge and this project will really be the first of its kind to be able to charge this many trucks in one location,” said John Friedrich, Chief Development Officer for Skycharger, the company proposing the charging station.
