Uber launches ‘senior accounts’ feature in San Diego for older adults

SAN DIEGO (FOX 5/KUSI) — On Monday, Uber announced it launched a new feature designed specifically for older adults needing to run errands at a store or get to their doctor’s appointment.

Described a “simplified” version of its app, the rideshare company rolled out senior accounts , which are available through Uber’s Family profiles.

What makes ‘senior accounts’ different?

The senior accounts feature larger text, fewer steps and screens, and a streamlined way to get help from a user’s trip organizers and caregivers, the company stated.

Trip organizers and caregivers can help their loved one request rides and manage payments all from their own account…
