SAN DIEGO — Mayor Todd Gloria announced that hundreds of city employees will move their offices to city-owned properties in Kearny Mesa to save money.
“We will save San Diego taxpayers more than $13 million over the next five years,” Mayor Gloria said during a news conference Monday morning.
He said rather than paying a private landlord, about 400 city staff from the engineering and capital projects department will move out of four floors at 525 B Street downtown and relocate to two city-owned office complexes in Kearny Mesa.
