SAN DIEGO (FOX 5/KUSI) — Several thousand dollars of merchandise was stolen from a high-end La Jolla eyewear store in a burglary early Tuesday that also left a beloved pet fish in critical condition.
The incident occurred at the Eyestructure in the 1200 block of Prospect Street just after 4 a.m. The owner of the business, Keith Marshall, told FOX 5/KUSI he was alerted to the burglary by a call from his alarm company.
According to Marshall, the suspects’ vehicle had rammed into the front of the store, shattering its front windows and a number of display cases. A large aquarium tank in the storefront that housed Marshall’s pet fish, a pufferfish named Norman, was also knocked over…
