Dozens displaced after Mother’s Day apartment fire in City Heights

SAN DIEGO (FOX 5/KUSI) — Dozens of residents at a City Heights apartment complex were displaced Sunday after a fire started in one of the units, destroying at least that one and damaging many other units. Firefighters responded quickly and rescued people from windows because of heavy smoke.

Around 75 San Diego Fire-Rescue and National City emergency responders were battling the fire at a City Heights apartment building Sunday evening and roads in the area were closed to traffic.
