SAN DIEGO (FOX 5/KUSI) — The San Diego County Fair just cranked up the flavor for 2025. On Wednesday, organizers announced the mouth-watering semi-finalists in this year’s “Fair-tastic Foods” competition — and starting opening week, fairgoers will get a chance to sample the top contenders for half the price.

The 45 semi-finalists will be narrowed to 18 finalists on opening day, Wednesday, June 11. Then, on “Foodie Fridays” (every Friday during the Fair from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.), hungry guests can enjoy any of the finalist dishes at 50% off — a tasty deal for those eager to explore the Fair’s most creative cuisine.
