Stella Jean’s Appears Interested in Tierrasanta Site

Stella Jean’s Ice Cream, a California-based small-batch ice cream shop known for its inventive flavors, locally sourced ingredients, and inclusive atmosphere, looks to be interested in opening a new location in Tierrasanta at 5950 Santo Road.

The company’s potential seventh area location appears to be opening in a retail center located off the 52 Freeway, according to a recent submission to the San Diego Department of Environmental Health and Quality. It’s unclear when this location will open, but the site is currently pending an inspection so that it could be sooner rather than later. Stella Jean’s Ice Cream recently opened a new location in South Park at 1517 30th Street, joining several other locations throughout San Diego, including University Heights, Point Loma, Pacific Beach, Kensington, and Carlsbad. The company also has two locations in Costa Mesa.

Stella Jean’s Ice Cream is renowned for its innovative menu, featuring both staple and seasonal flavors. Regular offerings include Madagascar Vanilla and Ube + Pandesal Toffee, while rotating options have included Pandan Pistachio and Black Sesame + Toasted Coconut. The shop also offers several vegan and gluten-free options, including Mango Sticky Rice.
