First Trolley wraps for San Diego Comic-Con make debut

SAN DIEGO (FOX 5/KUSI) — San Diego Comic-Con may still be a few weeks away, but the San Diego Metropolitan Transit System is already revving up.

This week, the transit system began previewing its Trolley wraps for the comics extravaganza taking place next month, starting with a pair of designs based on new Nintendo Switch 2 games from the Mario franchise: “Donkey Kong Bananza” and “Mario Kart World.”

The wrapped Trolleys are already out traversing the tracks, and more are on the way. By the time the convention rolls around, upwards of 45 trains will be circulating in style with comic-themed wraps, according to MTS officials…
