SAN DIEGO (FOX 5/KUSI) — Authorities unsealed a federal indictment in San Diego on Friday, in which 13 Guatemalan nationals were accused of being part of a drug trafficking ring.
The lead defendant in the indictment was Baldemar Calderon-Carrillo, also known as “Don Valde,” 67. His sons, Walfre Donaldo Calderon-Calderon, also known as “El Teniente Jr.”, 43, and Edgar Yovani Calderon-Calderon, also known as “Panon,” 45, were also among the individuals charged.

Last Friday, federal agents in San Diego heard that Calderon-Carrillo had been killed during a shootout with Mexican authorities on June 8, according to the office of the U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of California.
