An Aug. 15 trial date has been set for a woman charged with murder in the 2024 death of a homeless man downtown.
Ashley Ann Bonk, 29, is accused of killing Charles Hughes, 38, who was struck in the head in the 900 block of 4th Avenue on March 21, 2024. Initially, the injuries were not considered life-threatening.
Hughes’ condition did not improve and he died on March 29, according to San Diego police…
