Collisions in San Diego
First, a look at crash trends overall. Here’s how car crashes break down by neighborhood, since the beginning of 2023. Downtown, Southeastern San Diego and City Heights have some of the largest numbers.
Citywide, San Diego sees about 100 to 150 collisions each week. Here’s a look at the trend since 2023.
(Certain weeks in February and June 2024 show a notable decline in crashes, which may be a data anomaly. Officials with San Diego’s data and police departments did not respond to inquiries about the source of these declines.)
