SAN DIEGO (FOX 5/KUSI) — San Diego is finding itself less affordable by the day, and now the City Council has found itself in a little bit of a water war as the city has scheduled a hearing to raise water prices by as much 62% over the next four years, while dealing with the County Water Authorities’ price hikes at the wholesale level.
“I also saw on the news that Oceanside is considering a passthrough rate of 6%, so why is theirs lower than ours,” asked San Diego City Councilmember Marni Von Wilpert.
