SAN DIEGO (FOX 5/KUSI) — In a coordinated law enforcement operation targeting organized crime, five individuals believed to be associated with the Mexican Mafia prison gang were arrested this week in Southern California, federal authorities announced Thursday.
The arrests were the result of a large-scale investigation led by the FBI San Diego Field Office, with assistance from the Imperial County Sheriff’s Office, ATF Los Angeles, FBI Los Angeles, and other federal and local agencies.
