SAN DIEGO (FOX 5/KUSI) — Firefighters were able to contain a vegetation fire south of Julian Tuesday afternoon.
The fire was reported south of Inspiration Point off of State Route 79. Dubbed the Inspiration Fire, the blaze had burned three acres at a moderate rate of spread as of 2:30 p.m., according to Cal Fire San Diego.
The fire was reported in an area placed under a heat advisory that starts on Wednesday, per the National Weather Service. San Diego County valleys, including the cities of Escondido, Poway, Santee, San Marcos, El Cajon and La Mesa were all placed under a heat advisory due to temperatures expected to reach triple digits this week…
