A terrifying scene happened Wednesday morning in Lakeside when a car drove recklessly on the sidewalk as kids walked to school.
Around 7:30 a.m., as students and parents were lining up on the street and waiting in their cars on Petite Lane for morning dropoff at Tierra del Sol Middle School, a car drove up onto the sidewalk and nearly hitting students, all the while passing other cars and families waiting in the dropoff line.
A few minutes, later the gray Dodge Durango was spotted back on the sidewalk, headed the other way, away from school. Eventually, the car nearly hit a boy on a bicycle, clipped a Ford Explorer, made a dangerous right turn onto Julian Avenue and sped off…
