Lockdown lifted at high school in East County

SPRING VALLEY, Calif. (FOX 5/KUSI) — Mount Miguel High School in Spring Valley was placed on temporary lockdown Friday, education officials said.

Just after 3:40 p.m., a school resource officer with Mount Miguel High School was informed of a possible school threat, according to the San Diego County Sheriff’s Office.

The threat, which was believed to have been related to a physical altercation between students earlier in the day, had been relayed to a third-party, authorities said…
