Thousands of San Diegans to help beautify local beaches on Coastal Cleanup Day

SAN DIEGO (FOX 5/KUSI)– Thousands of volunteers will help keep America’s Finest City looking pristine for the 41st Annual Coastal Cleanup Day taking place Saturday, Sept. 20, from 9 a.m. to noon.

The event hosted by I Love a Clean San Diego is inviting over 5,000 volunteers from all over the city to take part in helping to not only beautify local beaches, but also help clean litter from inland canyons, as well as rivers and parks.

Volunteers of all ages are welcome to join, and can sign up for the Coastal Cleanup Day here.

The Kickoff site will technically be at Robb Field, located on Bacon Street in Ocean Beach, but there are also over 100 sites around San Diego County whose locations can also be found on the website.
