Routine SpaceX launch lights up San Diego sky at dusk

The latest SpaceX launch from California came at dusk on Sunday, lighting up the clear San Diego skies with a high-tech fireworks show.

The Falcon 9 rocket lifted off from Vandenberg Space Force Base near Santa Barbara at 7:04 p.m. carrying 28 more satellites for the company’s global internet service Starlink.

After the second stage separated on its way to orbit, the first-stage landed on a drone ship in the Pacific Ocean. SpaceX said it was the 28th successful flight for this booster…
