College student arrested for allegedly making threats against Riverside County Sheriff Chad Bianco

A San Diego County college student was arrested in September for allegedly making threats against Riverside County Sheriff Chad Bianco, who is also a candidate for California Governor in the 2026 election.

Danielle Lopez, a California State University San Marcos student, was arrested on Sept. 25 by campus police for allegedly making criminal threats, threats to a school/public officer/employee and threatening a public official, San Diego County Sheriff’s Office officials told CBS News Los Angeles.
