Using a combination of investigative methods, police were able to track the suspect vehicle to Otay Lakes Road, approaching Telegraph Canyon Road. Officers initiated a high-risk traffic stop, during which all three individuals in the vehicle complied with commands and were successfully detained. The names of the suspects have not been released.
At this point, Lt. Grippo said it’s still under investigation whether a firearm was actually involved; however, stolen merchandise was found. The dollar amount is still being calculated but the total could be around $1,000, according to authorities.
