SAN DIEGO (FOX 5/KUSI) — A person was rescued from an eastern San Diego County hillside Monday night after someone heard them calling for help.
The Lakeside Fire Protection District, Santee Fire, San Diego County Sheriff’s Department, and ASTREA helicopter responded around 9:30 p.m. Monday to reports of a person calling for help from an open space by the Walmart near I-8 and Los Coches Road in Lakeside.
When they arrived, firefighters found a person stuck on a hill, Lakeside fire reports. Using Santee Truck 4, firefighters established a high point and were able to lower the person down the hillside.
