The San Diego restaurant community is rallying around one of its own following an unimaginable tragedy that has left a local chef grieving the loss of his child and caring for two others who were seriously injured.
Corey Willows, a chef at Wild Thyme catering in San Diego, lost his young son Andrew Olsen on Monday morning after a driver struck three siblings walking to school in the Lake Murray area. Andrew’s two sisters were also hospitalized with injuries but are now recovering.
According to San Diego Police, the collision occurred around 7:20am near Jackson Drive and Lake Badin Avenue, as the children were walking to Pershing Middle School, just blocks away.
