The San Diego culinary community is supporting chef Corey Willows after an accident that resulted in the death of his son and injuries to his two daughters. The incident occurred on Monday morning. Willows’ three children were struck by a vehicle while walking to Pershing Middle School in the Lake Murray neighborhood. The crash happened near Jackson Drive and Lake Badin Avenue. A memorial of flowers and candles has been placed at the site.
San Diego Police reported that the crash took place around 7:20 a.m. The driver, a man in his 30s, remained at the scene and is cooperating with authorities. Police said that speed and impairment do not appear to be factors. The investigation is ongoing.
