Unexplained Heavy Traffic Disrupts Commute in San Diego

The afternoon and evening traffic in San Diego seemed unusually heavy on a particular day. A commuter noted that at 3:30 PM, the journey to SDSU via the 8 and exiting College Ave from North Park, which usually takes around 18-20 minutes, was estimated to take 35 minutes. Opting for the streets proved to be quicker. The situation didn’t improve by 7 PM, with the bridge from the 8 west to the 805 south being heavily congested. This forced the commuter to take the streets back to North Park from Mission Valley. Interestingly, there was no construction work or lane closures that could have caused such a traffic jam. The commuter humorously expressed frustration, stating they don’t live in Los Angeles, known for its heavy traffic.
