The post serves as a warning to Tacoma owners about the rising incidents of vehicle theft. The author shared a distressing experience of her husband’s 2021 TRD Off-Road Tacoma, fully equipped with premium upgrades, being stolen right in front of their house. The incident occurred on a Friday around 1 am and by 6 am, the vehicle had crossed the border into Mexico. The thieves, who appeared to be professionals, managed to bypass the security system and drive off without triggering the car alarm.
