San Diego County Probation Officers Conduct Halloween Compliance Checks at Local Homes

In the days before Halloween 2025, San Diego County Probation teams made unannounced visits to the homes of 25 to 30 registered sex offenders in the east and central parts of the county. Officers checked that these individuals followed rules, such as not having Halloween decorations, candy, or contact with children. Four people were arrested for violations, including contact with minors and possession of narcotics. Officers also seized a pellet gun, cell phones, an iPad, drug paraphernalia, and children’s costumes.
