California is most impacted by the FAA’s flight reduction order that went into effect today. Five of the 40 airports ordered to scale back flights are in California. Los Angeles, Ontario, San Diego, San Francisco and Oakland international airports are all on the list. It’s due to the government shutdown and related air traffic control staffing issues, with air traffic controllers working without pay for more than a month.
