SAN DIEGO (FOX 5/KUSI) — A semi tractor-trailer jackknifed while traveling on northbound Interstate 15 Saturday morning, according to a Sig Alert from California Highway Patrol. The incident was first reported around 6 a.m.

Caltrans reported that all lanes were blocked just south of Interstate 8 due to the crash. CHP noted that traffic is being diverted to eastbound and westbound I-8.
The front-end of the semi tractor-trailer hit a side wall, but CHP reported that the driver was able to get out of the vehicle on his own. It’s unknown at this time if the driver was injured during the crash.
Cleanup operations are underway. A timeline for reopening the the traffic lanes was not immediately provided…
