A recent incident has sparked concerns about credit card security at gas stations. According to a post on social media, a customer named John reportedly had his card details stolen after using it at the Valero gas station in Encinitas. The fraudulent charges appeared just hours after his visit to the station, with transactions made at a Mexican restaurant in New York, on eBay, and twice at Bolicious in NYC. Fortunately, John’s bank was able to decline all but one of these unauthorized charges and promptly alerted him to the suspicious activity.
