SAN DIEGO (FOX 5/KUSI) — WISE, Women Initiating Success Envisioned, is a grass-roots organization that is dedicated to counseling, educating and preparing female inmates for successful re-entry into their communities.
WISE aims to provide support and assistance to women upon release, and help them overcome discrimination, negative stigmas and other obstacles associated with their past in an effort to empower them to become self-sufficient and productive members of society.
The organization was founded by Jackie Reed, who shares her own story of re-entry to society and how she is using her experience to help others. Watch the full interview at the top of this page…
