The San Diego Sector of the U.S. Border Patrol reported the apprehension of an escaped felon, previously under the custody of the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation (CDCR). The escapee, identified as Joseph Lee Randall, managed to slip away from authorities near Julian, California, on Monday. Border Patrol agents, informed by the Campo Station, immediately set out to track him down. They successfully located Randall using specialized tracking methods later that day at 5 PM near Camp Cuyamaca in Descanso, California, and subsequently returned him to state custody.
