Series of Vehicle Break-Ins at Local Thai Restaurant: A Visitor’s Warning

A series of vehicle break-ins have been reported in the Convoy area, causing distress and inconvenience to the victims. One of the victims, who was visiting for a conference, returned from dinner at Koon Thai around 6.50pm to find his rental car, a Subaru Crosstrek, broken into. The rear passenger window was shattered, and several items including a company-issued passport, laptop, and personal electronics were stolen. The thieves also rummaged through his cabin luggage, making off with toiletries kept in a GoPro case. The victim managed to flag down a dispatch unit across the street who were attending to another break-in case. He was able to track down his air tag, which was in the stolen laptop bag, 20 feet away from the car. Another car in the same lot was also found to have been broken into.
