A black Lamborghini Gallardo crashed on Torrey Pines Road in La Jolla, San Diego, early on November 28, 2025. The crash happened just east of Prospect Place at about 2:23 a.m. The car, driven by a 20-year-old man, hit a K rail, went over it, and landed on water supply lines. This caused a large water spout and cut water to three Coast Walk homes. No one was injured. A juvenile passenger was also in the car.
The San Diego Police Department said unsafe speed caused the crash. No citation was issued because no officer saw the speeding. A similar crash happened at the same spot in 2018, which also damaged water lines. After that, the city installed the K rail.
Resident Tom Rushfeldt said his home was affected and water service was still not fully restored as of December 1. He said water diversion barriers, added after the 2018 crash, helped prevent property damage this time. City crews are still making repairs…
