Firefighters work hay fire near Safari Park

Fire crews were working a blaze that consumed hundreds of bales of hay in an open field across from the San Diego Zoo Safari Park on Sunday morning, the San Diego Fire-Rescue Department said.

Multiple SDFD crews have been working to extinguish hundreds of large rolled and stacked hay bales on fire near 15750 Old Milky Way since 11:20 p.m. last night. @calfiresandiego is on scene supporting with dozers. Firefighters say they are expected to be on the scene throughout the day.
