San Ysidro, California – San Ysidro High School was placed under lockdown Wednesday morning after a teenage girl was stabbed multiple times inside a classroom, prompting a large police response and a campus-wide search for the suspect.
San Diego police said the stabbing was reported just after 9 a.m. at the school, located at 5353 Airway Road. The victim, described as a girl around 15 to 16 years old, was attacked during class before the suspect fled the room.
