Sheriff’s office reveals cause of woman’s death in Las Colinas detention facility

(FOX 5/KUSI) — The San Diego County Sheriff’s Office has revealed the cause and manner of death of an inmate who died while in custody at the Las Colinas Detention and Reentry Facility back in June.

Authorities said Linda Bagby, 53, was found unresponsive in her cell around 4:25 p.m. on June 13. Deputies immediately called 9-1-1 and the facility’s medical staff, and began CPR.

Paramedics continued life-saving efforts on Bagby when they arrived but she was pronounced dead around 4:35 p.m, SDSO said in a news release on Tuesday.
