Sorrento Valley dog poisoned with metal hooks in meat thrown in his backyard

SAN DIEGO (FOX 5/KUSI) — A Sorrento Valley homeowner is searching for answers after her dog was poisoned by tainted meat in their backyard.

“Our safe haven is really our backyard, and Bruno loves his backyard,” Sabrina Bazzo said. But that sense of safety and security in her own yard was shattered on Friday.

Sabrina Bazzo, who is also on the San Diego Unified School Board, said she let her 2-year-old Golden Retriever Bruno outside in their backyard when she got home, and noticed Bruno was chewing on something. She went outside and found two bundles of meat, tied with a string, with blue poison and metal hooks inside…
