Quick thinking helped save golden retriever survive poisoned meat wrapped with metal hooks thrown into backyard

Sabrina Bazzo was shocked this past week when she discovered her golden retriever, Bruno, chewing on meat laced with poison and metal hooks. Two handfuls of the poisonous materials had been thrown over the fence into her San Diego backyard.

When Bazzo first spotted the strange wrapped meats near Bruno’s toys she was shocked. The bluish colored crystals mixed with hooks and tied together with string, prompted her to rush Bruno to the veterinarian hospital where vomiting was induced. Bruno was indeed a lucky pup; veterinarians were confident that bringing the dog in within 20 minutes of him consuming the poison saved his life. Had Bruno eaten more of the poison or the hooks went deep into his stomach or more time had lapsed, the results might have ended in tragedy…
